        RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR CERTIFICATE COURSES IN TWO WHEELER                         TECHNICIAN

DURATION OF THE COURSE:

4Months Certificate course in Two Wheeler Technician

Intake : 30 students

Age limit 18-35

 MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION:

The medium of instructions and examinations shall be in English.

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION INTO CERTIFICATE COURSES:

Admission eligibility is SSC/10th class appeared

Admissions are made on the basis of the marks in obtained in 9th class first come first service

Age limit: No age limit is applicable.

Admission process is at the institution level.  After the admission the records pertaining to admission, along with the Pin no. of candidates must be submitted to the State Board of Technical Education and Training.
NUMBER OF WORKING DAYS:

 The working days in a week shall be from Monday to Saturday.

There shall be 6 periods of one hour duration on all working days.

The minimum number of working days are 40 days for 4 months course.

If the prescribed syllabus is not achieved during the working days due to any reasons, special arrangements shall be made to conduct classes to complete the curriculum.

   

COMMENCEMENT OF COURSE:

 The academic year for 6 months course shall be from June to December and October to March.
EXAMINATION SCHEDULE:

Examination for 6 Months course shall be conducted in the last week of December and March after completion of the 2 months of Industrial training.

ELIGIBILITY OF ATTENDANCE TO APPEAR FOR THE END EXAMINATION:

A candidate shall be permitted to appear for  the examination if he/she has attended minimum of 75% of working days.

Deficiency in attendance may be condoned upto 10% on medical grounds.

Candidate having less than 65% attendance shall be detained.
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

Theory Examination: Each subject carries 100 marks for end examination of 3 hours duration.

Practical Examination: Each subject carries 60 marks for the end examination and 40 marks for sessional marks.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT SCHEME:

Practical: Continuous assessment of student’s performance in labs including documentation of practical, assignment submission and performance in 2 surprise written test are used as basis for awarding sessional marks in practicals.
STRUCTURE OF END EXAMINATION QUESTION PAPER:

Theory Examination: Examination of 3 hour duration of 100 marks consists of:

Part A: 20 short answer questions, each carrying 2 marks.

All questions are to be answered.

20 x 2 =40

Part B: 6 Essay questions to be answered out of 8.

            Each question carrying 10 marks.

6 x 10 = 60
MINIMUM PASS MARKS:

Theory Examination : 40% in end examination

Practical Examination : 50% in end examination in total.
CLASSIFICATION OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES:

Successful candidates shall be awarded under the following division of pass.

 I class with distinction shall be awarded to candidate who secures an overall aggregate of 75% and above.

I class shall be awarded to candidate who secures an overall aggregate of 60% marks or above and below 75%.

II class shall be awarded to candidate who secures a pass with an overall aggregate of below 60% and above 50%.
EXAMINATION FEE SCHEDULE:

The examination fee should b e as per the notification issued by the SBTET.

Lecturer : 1.Degree in Automobile Engg. with one year experience in relevant trade     

                             :  2.Diploma in Automobile Engg. with 02 years in relevant trade .

Admission process is at the institution level.  After the admission the records pertaining to admission, along with the Pin no. of candidates must be submitted to the State Board of Technical Education and Training.
NUMBER OF WORKING DAYS:

 The working days in a week shall be from Monday to Saturday (06 days).

  RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR AFFILIATION:  Same rules for all the CCIC courses. including Desk Top Publishing

The rules regarding the requirement of minimum infrastructure for private Institutions to get recognition / affiliation by the State Board of Technical Education & Training is based on the following norms.

I) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EQUIPMENT:

A). Number of Computers / Systems: 2 + 6 (2 Servers and 6 Computers) Total 8 nos.

                                                 

The Processor of the Computer should be 486 or above 
B). Printers: 2 Nos.       (1 - 80 column Dot Matrix type 

                                              1- Inkjet or LaserJet.)

C). Software: Corresponding legal software

D). U.P.S.: 1 No. 2 KVA Capacity or Diesel Generator.

E). Air Conditioner: Necessary requirement

                                 for Computer Laboratory.

F). Minimum floor Area Laboratory: 250 Sft. To 300 Sft. (23.225 Sqm – 27.87 Sqm)

         The Total Computer Centre Area: 800 Sft. To 900 Sft. (74.32 Sqm – 83.61 Sqm)

G). At least one Computer should be made available for every 2 students in any course in any batch. 

II). AFFILIATION CONTINUATION:

Recognition to institutions will be given initially for one year. From the next year onwards, the institution has to apply for renewal to the SBTET. However, the recognition may be withdrawn at any point of time, if any irregularity or violation is noted by the State Board of Technical Education & Training.

III. Appointment of Faculty:

The Computer Institutions should employ a graduate with a minimum qualification of one – year diploma in Computer applications from a reputed institution and having experience in the relevant course. The number of staff members should be based on the number of courses and number of batches offered by the organization and should fulfill norms of the Board.

IV). COST OF APPLICATION: -                                Free

a).For Computer Organization and Institutions: Registration and (Inspection) Processing  fee               

     per Institution per course  per batch of 30            : Rs. 6000/-                                            

 

b)   Application can be downloaded from website and submit along with a DD 

     Rs 6000/-(six Thousand only) per course per batch

NOTE: - AMOUNT PAID TOWARDS REGISTRATION & PROCESSING FEE , WILL  NOT BE  REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

V). BOARD AFFILIATION FEE: -

        Rs. 6000/- per course / per batch of 30 candidates.

VI). EXAMINATION FEE:      Rs. 500/-
VII). The Institutions are expected to choose any of the courses identified by      

       S.B.T.E.T., Telangana, Hyderabad and can conduct courses.

VIII)  These courses shall be conducted twice in a year, i.e. two batches in a year   

        as per the academic calendar of  the Board.

IX. GENERAL STRUCTURE OF COURSES: -

Intake for each course: 30.

Duration: 3 Months (12 Weeks).

Time: 3 to 4 Hrs / Day 

                                                   (With working 6 Days per week.)

Theory Session: 100 hrs.

Practical Session: 150 hrs.


  1.  Project Work: 1 or 2 Weeks.



X  COURSE FEE: -The courses are run on self-supporting basis. Therefore course fee suggested is Rs.3, 000/- to 6,000/- per each module. This is only to give a range.

XI. METHOD OF EVALUATION: -

The Examination conducted by the SBTET will be in the following pattern.  

First paper:   Object Type - One Hour duration :50 questions - 50 Marks.

Second paper:  Essay Type - 2 ½ Hour duration  : - 100 Marks

Third paper: Practicum - 1 Hour duration      :- 50 Marks

 



XII.   Minimum qualifying / Pass marks in each paper:

Paper –I & Paper - II          35%

Paper-III 50 %

Candidate failing in any one of the three papers will be deemed to have failed in the entire examination and have to pass all the papers of the examination at the subsequent attempt(s).

The time duration to complete any course is double the duration of the course period. That is a student can complete a six months Certificate course in a year or three months Certificate course in six months.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Any institution caught by the NASSCOM or Government or by any other official agency for using the pirated software, will automatically lose the recognition.

Age limit : Below 25 years (S.C &S.T -30 years)

Admission process is at the institution level. After the admission the records pertaining to admission, along with the Pin no. of candidates must be submitted to the State Board of Technical Education and Training.
NUMBER OF WORKING DAYS:
The working days in a week shall be from Monday to Friday.

There shall be 6 periods of one hour duration on all working days.

The minimum number of working days are 90 for 6 months course and 180 for 1 year course.

If the prescribed syllabus is not achieved during the working days due to any reasons, special arrangements shall be made to conduct classes to complete the curriculum.
COMMENCEMENT OF COURSE:
The academic year for1 ½ year course shall be from 1st of August of the year of admission to March of the succeeding year.

The academic year for 6 months it shall be from August to December and February to June.

EXAMINATION SCHEDULE:
Examination for 1 ½ year course shall be conducted in the first week of April followed by 6 months of Industrial Training. 

Examination for 6 months course shall be held in the last week of December and June followed by 2 months of Industrial Training.
ELIGIBILITY OF ATTENDANCE TO APPEAR FOR THE END EXAMINATION:
A candidate shall be permitted to appear for the end examination if he / she has attended a minimum of 75% of working days.

Practical Examination : 50% in end examination and in total.
CLASSIFICATION OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES:
Successful candidates shall be awarded under the following division of pass.

1st class with distinction shall be awarded to candidate who secures an overall aggregate of 75% and above.

1st class shall be awarded to candidate who secures an overall aggregate of 60% marks and above and below 75%.

2nd class shall be awarded to candidate who secures a pass with an overall aggregate of below 60% and above 50% marks.
EXAMINATION FEE SCHEDULE:

The examination fee should be as per the notification issued by the SBTET.

For the 1 ½ year courses:

Whole Examination - Rs. 500/-

1 or 2 subjects - Rs.120/-

For the 6 months course:

Whole Examination - Rs. 500/-

1 or 2 subjects - Rs.120/-

BOARD RECONGNITION FEE:
Rs. 200/- per candidate for each course.
ISSUE OF CERTIFICATE:
The final certificate will be issued on payment of Rs.100/- in the form of DD. in favour of “Secretary, State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad.”
STAFF QUALIFICATION:
Lecturer : A Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management with 2 years experience.

Staff – Student ratio : 1 : 20

Lab Assistant : A 10th pass with 5 years of experience in food industry.
LIBRARY:
Library must be provided with the related books , journals & relevant magazines should be provided.
B). CRAFT CERTIFICATE COURSE IN FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE

Class room for Theory : 24 x 16 ft to be provided.
